Deja Vu

Maximum Sports Blog

Four years ago, Matt Linart sat on the USC sideline and watched Vince Young direct his Texas Longhorns to a victory in the National Championship game. This past Sunday, as an Arizona Cardinal, Linart was once again watching Young from the sidelines. Young, now the Tennessee Titans quarterback, started a drive from his own 1-yard line and  capped the 99-yard drive with a winning touchdown as the game ended. What made this Arizona-Tennessee game interesting was on one side you had Kurt Warner and on the other Jeff Fisher and Vince Young.

In Super Bowl XXXIV, Kurt Warner sat on the sidelines watching Jeff Fishers’ Titans come up short of a game-winning touchdown on the last play. This Sunday you had the same situation with Warner again hoping Fisher would come up short. Whoever won would have seen something they’ve seen before. Unfortunately for Warner and Linart, the ending was deja vu.
