Open Road Radio is broadcasted on The Sports Byline Radio Network every Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. www.sportsbyline.com. Segments include info and tips on riding destinations, new products, motorcycle maintenance, legislation, insurance, rallies and charitable events. ORR also covers current industry related news from the AMA, Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), and ABATE, an organization devoted to motorcycle rights.

Gina Woods loves to talk. And she talks a lot. But no idle gossip flows from this Chicago natives lips. Gina, who is gregarious, whimsical, fun-loving and charismatic, is the co-creator and co-producer of Open Road Radio (ORR), the first and most successful talk radio show to focus exclusively on the history, passions, evolution and culture of motorcycling. ORR, which was Gina's brainchild, debuted on January 2, 1997 and has been running strong ever since. Over the years, it has collected a trunk-load of awards from leading charities and other organizations including Toys for Tots/Marine Corps, Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, MDA, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society and the prestigious MVP Award (Most Valuable Program) from the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA).
About the Team

Host-GINA WOODS’ passion for motorcycles and the biking industry has proven to be the ride of her life for the past fifteen years. This year marks her thirteenth year as a radio super star and one of the top radio hosts telling it like it is in the motorcycle world. She is the President and Co-Founder of the popular weekly OPEN ROAD RADIO Show.

Gina currently rides a 1948 Harley- Davidson Panhead! KICK ONLY!! But Gina can and does ride most anything she can get her hands on including the Buell she rode out in Bonneville in 2008 with the Buell Sisters Racing Team.

Gina is also very active in many motorcycle rights organization and various charities in the community, not to mention the founder and team leader of the Gina Woods’- XX-Chromes All Woman Bike Build” team. The team consists of various celebrity female builders. The proceeds of the bike builds have gone to the fight against breast cancer or other charitable causes.


Co Host-PANHEAD BOBBY GRAND- Bobby is an old school biker with the knowledge and passion that makes him a perfect fit for Open Road Radio. His takes on topics makes him unique in a way that he can always tie in a life story and make everything that much more interesting! Bobby also brings to the table a vast technical background, and sure does come in handy when a listener calls in with a mechanical question. Bobby still has his ol’ Panhead but rides his 06 H-D Street Glide just so he can keep up with us.

Co Host-IDEAL DAVE-Ideal Dave guest host on Open Road Radio launched Ideal Ride Inc. as a "Custom Motorcycle Emporium" in 1996. Hence over time he became known as "Ideal Dave" . Ideal Dave as a professional broadcasting personality started after he completed his technical training at Illinois Center for Broadcasting. His booming voice and quick humor got him another nickname during broadcast training, also known as "Big Wave Dave". Ideal Dave has been chopping up the motorcycle air waves in Chicago with Open Road Radio since 2007. Connect with Ideal Dave while he's on the road or on the air and he will surely connect with you! That's just how he rolls….. ideally!

Co Host-DOZER-What can we say, he’s a straight shooter tell it like it is opinionated pain in the a**! Dozer’s been riding over 29 yrs. It all started at the age of 12 on dirt-bikes and progressed from there. Dozer is very active in the community ie; Mason, Shriner, Abate of Chicago member. Dozer lives the lifestyle, and can be seen hosting many bike rally’s around the country. It’s worth it to tune in each week just to hear what he’ll say next! Dozer currently rides an ’03 H-D Heritage Soft tail, and is rebuilding a 78 H-D Superglide.

Co Host- "Jo" Giovannoni (Joe-Va-No-Knee) Began riding motorcycles in 1967, starting on a tank-shift Panhead. She worked in two Harley dealerships between 1977-1987. In 1983, Jo co-founded the 2nd chapter of Women In The Wind motorcycle club, and served as President until 1986. In 1985, Jo co-founded Harley Women magazine, and served as editor and publisher until 1997. In 1996, Jo was the fifth woman inducted into the National Motorcycle Hall Of Fame. She made numerous appearances on talk shows including: Viki Lawrence Show, Wild Chicago, Kelly & Company, Eye On L.A., Geraldo Rivera and has been interviewed on every major Chicago news station.

KAREL KING – PRODUCTION DIRECTOR
Professional in the radio industry, for over 25 years; having worked in various markets in the U.S. Some of those are: WEFM-FM, WLRW-FM, WRRG-FM, KERN-FM and KQKQ-FM. Karel is a production genius and voiceover talent and has done animated voice with Disney Productions in California.
