Joe Theismann on New Role in The UFL
Ron talks with retired Super Bowl Champion Joe Theismann about his return to football of a different brand. Theismann has been named president and owner of the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League (UFL). Theismann says, "Our [UFL] players are very unselfish and very appreciative about the opportunity to play football. What happens in the NFL is there has become this right of entitlement.
When a player (in the NFL signs a contract, he thinks he's in control of his playing time, he thinks he's in control of the position he wants to play, and he forgets that it's a team sport." Our system is based on merit, not economics says Theismann.
